La Contenta is the heartfelt project of two Mexican-born partners, in which their considerable New York experience will shape their tribute to Mexican culinary and mixological customs. Chef-owner Luis Arce Mota is from Mazatlan. His traditional-based menu will be influenced by his Cordon Bleu and CIA training. Head bartender and partner Alex Valencia is from Jalisco, the world center of Agave. He will serve a robust range of agave spirits according to age-old customs.
